IGC is dedicated to educate and train youth and young adults how to fly using gliders. Activities include instruction on how to fly and the art, science and safety training that is involved with flying. But we're not just for the young- all ages are welcome! We also offer intro rides for those that are interested in testing the waters of powerless flight.
We operate from Independence State Airport (7S5) in Independence, Oregon.
If you would like more information about becoming a member, flight instruction, or intro rides, please contact us at:

Flying season arrived early this year! The annual Safety and Membership meeting went well, with good discussion of the operations and how to continue our safety record. If you missed the meeting and need a briefing before you go fly, please contact Jon (info below).
Please continue to send in dues. Curt prefers an annual payment to minimize paper work, but monthly is fine. $25.month, or $300/year. Snail-mail address is listed below.
Star Simpson has set up three links to assist with paying dues (thank you Star!):
Here's a link anyone can use to start a recurring monthly subscription to Independence Glider Club for $25/month.

Here's a link for a recurring annual payment, for those who would prefer to pay once rather than once per month:

Here's a link that anyone can use to pay monthly dues from the past — just select a quantity (number of months) this one will NOT create a recurring subscription
